The Missouri Department of Conservation has an office in Joplin at 705 S. Illinois that is open M-F 8AM-5PM. Call 417-629-3423 or stop by to pick up hunting and fishing permits and information and free maps and brochures. There are plenty of mountain bike trails and cycling opportunities in the area.
